Marf, Friend Of Furilla, Buys Local Convenience Store, plans for major upgrade and name change.
Child/kitten star, Marf, is buying nearby Thurman Mart, often referred to as as “ThurMart”. Marf has told us he plans to upgrade the store and change the name. He added that customers should not be alarmed as he is sure old and new customers will love the new name.
The property is a little covenience store filled with mostly metabolic bombs (snacks , candy, chips, beer and a few staples that make you feel sad if you have to buy them here). Below is the store. It’s in this upper middle class neighborhood on a street that feeds into Forest Park, Portland’s amazing in-city forest.

If you dont know Marf, he’s an Orange Tabby cat that amassed a considerable fortune modeling for catfood and flea abatement companies
Here are a few pics of Marf on cat food packaging and ad work he’s done for the pet industry. On this Friskies Junior pack (on the left) Marf is both kittens. They changed his eye and paw color. He did Nulo as a young adult.

Here’s Marf currently and the sales contract. He’s got people to protect his interests.

Here are a few early outdoor sign / identity concepts. We like “C” as Marf’s bone shaped name tag is like a bow tie that says “customer service”. Below these signs is a concept for the new store facade. Note the built-in cat litter boxes at the bottom of the trash cans.

The Oregonian
The Oregonian publishes a story about Furilla. Bear in mind (think grizzly) the whole back story of Furilla was not revealed at this pont. There’s a lot of drama so this story focused on what was originally released to the public. Its all part of the aftermath of what really went down. Thanks Oregonian!
